Fitness Edge Trainer Highlights
Matt Angrisani finishes the 33rd Annual Marine Corps Marathon
Fitness Edge trainer Matt Angrisani ran in the 33rd Annual Marine Corps Marathon in Washington D.C. The race took place on October 26, 2008 with over 18,000 runners participating. This race marked Matt’s first ever attempt at a marathon. He trained for eight months and said that when he began training he couldn’t even run a mile. He finished with a time of 4:48:43, placing 10,789th. When asked about his experience, Angrisani said, ‘When’s the next one?!”
Jen Hyatt attends AEC Symposium in Las Vegas
In September, trainer Jen Hyatt attended an AEC symposium in Las Vegas to earn continuing education credits. The classes included Bosu skills and drills, metabolism facts and myths, and an active class with ideas on training with little or no equipment. While in Las Vegas, Jen extended her stay a few days. One of the highlights of her trip was climbing 12,000 ft. Mt. Charleston. The hike was 20 miles to the top and back, but it was well worth it because her boyfriend proposed to her at the top. Congratulations Jen!
