Sports Performance Training

 

Pre-Adolescent ages 8 to 13

Each session will focus on teaching efficient movement patterns and proper exercise form and technique, with an emphasis on improving speed, agility, power and endurance. We will also discuss the importance and impact of healthy eating habits. All sessions will be 1 hour in length

 

The Fitness Edge Elite Approach

We carefully measure the capabilities and limitations of each athlete utilizing the Functional Movement Screen, speed and agility drills and body weight strength tests. We consider the demands of their sport(s) and devise a program to improve their performance. We do this thru a multiple stage approach:

  • Groove motor patterns and develop appropriate corrective exercises
  • Build whole body and joint stability
  • Increase endurance
  • Build strength
  • Develop speed, power and agility

Adolescent ages 14-up

Each session will focus on teaching efficient movement patterns and proper exercise form and technique, with an emphasis on improving speed, agility, power, strength and endurance. Weight training will also be incorporated into the sessions with the goal of improving power and strength. We
will also discuss the importance and impact that healthy eating habits have on sports performance. All sessions will be 1 hour long
