Swedish
The most common style in massage therapy. It is a full-body, therapeutic massage that is exceptional for increasing the level of oxygen in the blood, decreasing muscle toxins and improving circulation and flexibility while easing tension.
Deep Tissue
More intense than the traditional Swedish massage, deep tissue is used to target knots that cause chronic muscle tension. It also aids in reducing muscle inflammation and helps to eliminate scar tissue.
Ashiatsu
“Ashi” meaning foot, and “atsu” meaning pressure, this Japanese technique combines the enjoyment of a Swedish massage and the therapeutic benefits of deep tissue. Using bare feet, Ashiatsu typically includes stretching, stimulation and sedation of acupressure points and meridians. It heightens total physical, mental and spiritual awareness.
Thai
One of the oldest healing methods, Thai stretching is used to release tight joints, increase range of motion and reduce stress. With compression, it is a blend of yoga stretches, acupressure and energy work.
