Elsa Gutierrez – December 2011
Elsa Gutierrez was selected as the client of the month for December. Jim Adams is Elsa's personal trainer. Elsa has lost several inches from her waist, hips and thighs. Her changes in her physique are a direct result of the changes she has made in her lifestyle. She has changed her eating habits to eliminate belly fat and now plans her meals instead of eating haphazardly. Elsa has also started to run/walk around the neighborhood and regularly takes both boot camp and fitball classes. She has truly adopted a healthy lifestyle and it shows. |

Adam Conners – November 2011
Adam Connors was selected as the client of the month for November. Adam has been a client of The Fitness Edge for 1 ½ years as well as training with personal trainer Chris Lueken during this time period. He has lost a total of 40 pounds and his body fat is down 11%. Adam has made working out a lifestyle by being consistent with weight training, cardio and nutrition during this time period. He has also begun to get into Olympic weight lifting. Adam always continues to push himself to reach new goals and achieve new heights. |

Jeff Quinn – October 2011
Jeff Quinn was selected as the client of the month for October. Jeff has been a client of The Fitness Edge for 3 years and has been training with personal trainer CJ Smith throughout this time period. According to CJ, Jeff is one of the most dedicated and motivated clients he has ever worked with. Jeff runs 4-12 miles daily prior to work and, when he is not traveling with his hectic work schedule, he comes in to work out 5 days a week. Jeff has a tremendous work ethic both in the gym as well as in all aspects of his life. If he has an injury, he will work around it and not use it as an excuse to miss a work out. Jeff also competes in multiple marathons ever year. Due to Jeff's dedication, he has consistently improved his times. Overall, Jeff lives an extremely active lifestyle making fitness a big priority in his life. He is always trying to improve and achieve new goals whether it is to improve his marathon times, muscle tone or increase his muscle mass. |

Lisa Haines – September 2011
Lisa Haines was selected as the client of the month for September. Lisa's personal trainer is Mike Jaudes, owner of The Fitness Edge. She has been a client since June 2010. When Lisa began working with Mike, her body weight was not an issue as she was already trim and thin. Overall body strength was her weakest area. During the past year, Lisa has worked extremely hard and has been very consistent with her workouts, nutrition plan and cardio program. Her transformation has been significant. Lisa has reduced her body fat percentage as well as toned and shaped the muscles throughout her body. She looks absolutely fantastic. |

Dick Sinise – August 2011
Dick Sinise was selected as the client of the month for August. Dick has been a client of The Fitness Edge for 6 years. Throughout this period, Derek Fairchild has been his personal trainer. At 61 years old, Dick has made significant improvements that anyone of any age would be proud of. He has increased his lean muscle by 21.5 lbs. and decreased his body fat by 33 lbs. for a body fat percentage of 11.8%. Dick works out with Derek 2 days per week and engages in high intensity cardio 5 days per week. Overall, Dick has improved his nutrition and has made fitness an everyday pursuit….health and fitness has become his lifestyle! |

MANDY BESEMER – JULY 2011
Mandy started training at the Fitness Edge 1 ½ years ago. We are proud to say that she has lost 76 pounds and reduced her body fat by 25%! Mandy trains with Personal Trainer, Rob Dozier who motivates her to perform at her best. With a focus on nutrition and consistent workouts, Mandy has achieved her personal best. Myles Hansen - June 2011
Myles Hansen was selected as the client of the month for June. Myles has been training with both personal trainer Jared Fryman and Jenny Obert for 1 ½ years. He has significantly improved both his strength and cardiovascular endurance. Myles is very consistent with his lifting and cardio program on a weekly basis which is why his body composition continues to improve from his lifestyle changes. When training, Myles gives an all out effort and his trainers have to tell him to stop instead of motivating him to try for one more rep. Overall, Myles is an inspiration because he is determined to do his best to become the best that he can be. |

David Blazevic was selected as the client of the month for May. David has been training with personal trainer Tim Nardoni for 7 months. During this time, David has lost 40 lbs and dropped his body fat percentage from 27% to 13%. David has accomplished these results because he eats a very clean and balanced diet, has been very consistent with his resistance and cardio training and has bought into all components of fitness. Gina Augsburger - April 2011
Gina Augsburger was selected as the client of the month for April. Gina has been training with personal trainer Jenny Obert for 4 ½ years. Gina has lost 55 pounds and decreased her body fat by 10%. The keys to Gina's success have been keeping a food journal, eating clean with a sufficient amount of protein as well as exercising every day to keep everything on track. Gina is a great example of how a healthy lifestyle changes make a difference. She is a completely different person from when she started. |

Dan Giesler - March 2011
Dan Giesler has been selected as the client of the month for March 2011. Dan has been a client at The Fitness Edge for the last three and one half years. During that time Dan has progressed with his strength, power, cardiovascular conditioning and mobility. During the last 6-12 months Dan has further raised the level of his training intensity and frequency as well as his nutrition which has resulted in a total decrease of his body fat by 14% and an increase in his lean muscle mass of 15 lbs. Dan is a regular fixture at The Fitness Edge and his success has been noticed by many. His lifestyle commitment is an inspiration to many of the clients and trainers and we anticipate continued future success. Dan trains 2-3 times per week with Derek and enjoys interval training once a week with training buddies Maureen and Amanda. Dan manages to fit another 4-5 cardio sessions per week and has been making use of the Metabolic Meals plan for several months. |

Angela Forte - February 2011
Angela Forte was nominated as client of the month for Feb 2011. She has trained at the FE with Curt Jasper since October 2009. Since the start of her training she has lost 33 lbs and dropped her body fat by 11%. She strength trains 3 times a week plus participates in cardio classes 2-3 times a week. Angela has even started the metabolic meals to help her achieve better nutrition. Changing her lifestyle has become a priority and it shows. Congratulations Angela!! |

Lee Hutkin - January 2011
Lee Hutkin is the client of the month for January. Lee started training at The Fitness Edge four months ago. In just 16 weeks, she has had both a total body and mind transformation. Lee used to eat a "low calorie" diet, a large amount of cardio and very light strength training. She has made drastic changes by being willing to get out of her comfort zone both in and out of the gym. She now strength trains three days a week and isn't scared to lift heavy weights, does steady state cardio three days a week and has embraced a high protein, low glycemic, and healthy fat diet. Lee is no longer "worried" about eating 6 small meals a day. Her results not only have changed her body but have also boosted her self confidence. Since October 14, 2010, Lee has lost 14 pounds, 12 inches and 6% body fat. Way to go Lee!! |

Kadijia Howes - DECember 2010
Kaijia "Dij" Howes was selected at the client of the month for December. Dij has been training with Kristin Johnson for about one and a half years. During this time, she has converted 6 lbs into lean body weight and lost 8 lbs of body fat mass; and decreased her body fat percentage by 5%. She has also lost 2 dress sizes in the process! One of the most significant changes Dij has made in her life is the dedication to her training, cardio and nutrition. She feels she owes it to herself to be as healthy as she can be in life and encourages and educates others. For a 16 year old, Dij has made drastic changes in her lifestyle. She does 4 days a week of early morning cardio before school and weight trains 3 times per week. Dij is such positive force and her self confidence has increased since we first started training. Even with a full school schedule and homework she is constantly seeking information and knowledge on better eating and nutrition- not only for herself, but for family and friends as well. With her new increased self confidence, and knowledge, Dij has encouraged others to be healthy and brought a new client to The Fitness Edge! |

Beth Bell - November 2010
Beth Bell was selected as the client of the month for November. Beth has been a client of The Fitness Edge since 2006 and has been training with CJ Smith for 3 years. During this time, she has lost 20 lbs. and a significantly lowered her body fat percentage. Beth works extremely hard every week fitting in 2 training sessions with CJ plus classes 3-5 times per week and 2 yoga sessions. She manages all this while working 80-90 hours per week. Beth is consistent and dedicated as evidenced by her workout schedule and her healthy eating habits. She is an inspiration to all of us. |

Brian Frederickson - October 2010
Brian Frederickson was selected as the client of the month for October. Brian has been training at The Fitness Edge for a little over a year and for the last 5 months with personal trainer Jared Fryman. Every week, Brian comes in at least 3 times per week and puts incredible effort into his workouts. His strength has continued to increase along with his endurance and functional movement abilities. He is also very consistent with his cardiovascular program. Brian's hard work has helped him maintain an enviable body fat % in the 10% range. |

Sharon Leve - September 2010
Sharon Leve is the client of the month for September. Sharon trains twice a week with Fitness Edge trainer Derek Fairchild. Over the past 2 ½ years, this busy mother of two has decreased her body fat to 12%, increase her overall fitness level as well as improved her nutrition. Her accomplishments include:
- Winning her division at the recent Rec-Plex Triathlon on the short course in St. Peters, MO
- Qualifying for the Boston Marathon a total of 5 times and running 3 times
- Competed in a ½ Ironman Triathlon in Lawrence, Kansas this past June finishing 6th in her class.
Sharon is currently training for her first full Ironman Triathlon. We are all inspired by Sharon's impressive accomplishments. Good luck Sharon! |

Judy Nyhoff - August 2010
Judy Nyhoff is the client of the month for August. Judy began training with Maureen McDermott at The Fitness Edge in May 2008. Since that time, Judy has lost 15 lbs, added 15lbs of muscle, lost 10% body fat and lost 13.25 inches overall. During her workouts, Judy always works hard, pushes herself and never complains. She is very consistent with her weight lifting workouts and cardio program as well as following The Fitness Edge eating plan. Judy is a great example of how hard work and dedication can turn into a healthy living style for the rest of your life. |

Susan Finley - July 2010
Susan Finley is the client of the month for July. She has been a client for four years and is highly motivated about exercising and enjoying life. During this time, she has expanded her three times a week weight training program with Jared Fryman to include boxing every other week with Wayne Hawkins and once a week Kenpo Karate sessions with Sid Gee. She also finds time to attend a group karate session outside the facility and squeeze in cardio sessions five days per week. During the month of July, Susan has not only earned her Blue Belt but competed in her first martial arts competition where she won 2nd place. We are all very proud of Susan's accomplishments. |

Joe Morrissey - June 2010
Joe started training with Jim Adams in the summer of 2009. He was referred to Jim by Keith Sanders, Physical Therapist for the St Louis Cardinal . Joe had just finish working with Keith rehabbing from consecutive surgeries to repair a torn ACL and Meniscus repair. Joe continued his training at the Fitness Edge during his Sophomore Year of Chaminade High School Football. He started the year as the backup fullback and ended the season having earned the starting spot at that position. His work ethic is second to none. The other trainers describe him as "a beast in the gym". His discipline and hard work has paid dividends. Unfortunately, Joe broke his tibia in the last playoff victory of the season and has dedicated himself to full recovery this summer. We expect him to have another great season of football this fall. |

Lauren Levinson - May 2010
Lauren Levinson was selected by the training staff at The Fitness Edge as client of the month for May 2010. Lauren trains with CJ Smith and has been a client of The Fitness Edge for four years. Lauren had twins two years ago and is lower in total weight and bodyfat % than she was pre-pregnancy. She has decreased her body fat % from 17% to 12.3%. Lauren also works out with CJ two times per week and does cardio six days per week. She trains extremely hard and has worked through numerous injuries. |

Mary Hayek - April 2010
Mary Hayek was selected by the training staff at The Fitness Edge as client of the month for April 2010. Mary trains with Matt Angrisani. Mary has made slow but tenacious and steady progress towards losing weight since October 2009. She works very hard every time she trains with Matt plus she does cardio for 1 hour at each session 6-7 times per week. Since October, she has decreased her bodyfat % by 9.2% and lost 21.9 pounds. Mary has also just completed her 2nd Half Marathon! |

Valerie LaFaminia - March 2010
My journey at The Fitness Edge began in May of 2007 with an evaluation from Mike Jaudes. I wanted to get in shape for a big event. A lot of sweat and hard work came my way after being introduced to one of the most influential, motivating, and compassionate trainers God put in my life, Jenny Obert. Jenny doesn't just talk the talk of fitness, she lives it every day! She challenges me each and every work out, and I always feel great afterwards. I actually look forward to the next workout and the challenges it brings. I never thought I'd ever be saying that, because I wasn't really fond of working out. I taught and competed in several styles of swing dancing on a national level over the past 20+ years, and I have injuries, but Jenny knows my body's limits. She has truly re-sculpted my body. I continue this journey now not because I have to, but because I want to. It is a lifestyle for me and I choose to be good to me and my body. I thank you for the honor of being Client of the Month, but know that I share it with the woman who helped me get there. Jenny says "I am blessed and honored to have Valerie as a client. Amanda trains with Tina Simmons and has been a client of The Fitness Edge for five months. In this time, Amanda has lost two pant sizes, decreased her body fat % by 7% while increasing her lean body muscle by 10 lbs and significantly toned her arms and back. Doug trains with Mike Jaudes, Andy Kobe and Derek Fairchild and has been a client of The Fitness Edge for 10 years. Doug trains at a pinnacle level at every workout. His discipline to increase strength, size and definition is as much mental as physical. He sets his mind in a direction and completes the task. Even though Doug is humble and did not want to accept the award, he truly deserves it! |
